Restaurant Reviews

Excerpt from Waitrose Restaurant Guide 2009:

I plumped for the deliciously fresh crab salad with Avacado Salsa to start while my partner enjoyed a generous serving of steamed mussels with garlic and thyme.

An ample selection of wines were available and we took our host’s advice and ordered a bottle of Gavi di Gavi La Meirana Broglia, a delightfully dry Italian white wine.

For the main course I opted for the wonderful Rare Ribeye with Kenyans and Charlottes – a generous portion of choice steak, crunchy beans and potato halves. My companion was thrilled with her liberal chunks of John Dory with potatoes and tomatoes.

For dessert I struggled to choose between the five striking offerings and ultimately selected the Amaretti Biscuit And Chocolate Mousse. My partner picked the Escoffer Berries with Mango Sorbet which she assures me she would be happy to eat every day.

We decided to extend the agreeable evening with coffee, and already we are looking forward to returning for another dose of escapism at Mosaica with its attentive staff and extraordinary setting.
